Professor Siyan Oyeweso, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, has congratulated Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi on his recent appointment as the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
He commended Ajayi for his excellent career in Nigeria’s intelligence and security services. “This appointment is not only a testament to your distinguished career within Nigeria’s intelligence and security services but also your extensive experience and expertise in security management,” Oyeweso said.
Ajayi, an alumnus of OAU, was praised for his hard work, dedication, strategic thinking, and effective leadership throughout his career in the DSS. The university expressed pride in his achievements, saying,”As an alumnus of The Great Ife, not only are we proud of your reputation for hard work and dedication, but also for your strategic thinking and effective leadership throughout your career in the DSS.”
Oyeweso further expressed his strong belief about Ajayi’s leadership in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges “We are hopeful that under your leadership of one of Nigeria’s most critical security agencies, the DSS will enhance operational efficiency and address contemporary security challenges facing the country,” said Oyeweso.
Professor Oyeweso concluded by extending his best wishes to Ajayi on behalf of the university community. “On behalf of the University Community, please accept my sincere congratulations on your appointment. I wish you success and look forward to witnessing the positive changes you will bring to the Department of State Security,” he said.
