The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, has described his former Political Adviser and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State, the late Alhaji Debo Badru, as a courageous person who stood out in terms of loyalty, consistency and dedication to duty.
He noted that the passing of such a dedicated and committed personality is a profound loss, not only to his loved ones but also to the entire State he served with diligence and passion.
The minister, therefore, extended his deepest condolences to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, the Oluwo of Iwo; the entire APC family in Osun, and the family of the late Mayegun Debo Badru.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ismail Omipidan, the minister said “Debo Badru’s invaluable contributions to the growth of our party and the promotion of our shared ideals will forever be remembered. His unwavering commitment to service and his legacy of dedication to whatever task he was assigned, would continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
“The impact of his work will resonate for years to come, and his absence will be deeply felt by all. It is a loss that transcends personal grief, affecting the entire community and the Osun political landscape.
“During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with the Oluwo, the APC family, and the Badru family. May the Almighty Allah grant us all the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, and may Allah grant the late Alhaji Debo Badru Aljanah firdaus,” the statement said.
Badru died on Tuesday in Abuja.
