Following the incident of police brutality against some youths in Osun State, the Police Command has announced that it has arrested officers involving in the incident.
The command in a statement by Emmanuel Giwa-Alade, the acting Police Public Relations Officer, said the officers are currently under investigation by the by X-squad.
The statement reads, “The officers involved have been arrested, debriefed by the Commissioner of Police, and handed over to the X-Squad for further investigation.
“We now invite the victim and other witnesses to provide their account of the matter at the X-Squad office located in the Osun State Police Command Headquarters, Ring Road, Osogbo, Osun State. Their testimony is crucial in ensuring a thorough investigation.
“The Osun State Police Command remains committed to transparency, accountability, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.”
