Federal House of Representatives on Thursday Celebrated the House Public Accounts Committee Chairman, Rep. Bamidele Salam for his 55th Birthday.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas led other lawmakers to congratulate the lawmaker representing the fantastic people of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State.
In the speaker’s remarks, he said Rep. Bamidele is a dedicated and trustworthy lawmaker.
“This is a day we have chosen to celebrate one of our best and one of the most exceptional honorable colleagues in the 10th Assembly.
He is a man of honour, integrity, substance. He is one of those few who, as chairman of a committee, I never received any complaints from his deputy, colleagues, and even MDAs about his oversight.
This is incredibly rare for someone overseeing the entire federation.
On behalf of the 359 members, I want to sincerely present our sincere appreciation for all you have been doing. May God continue to preserve, protect, and be with you forever.
May all these gains be the beginning of greater things that will come in your life; we hope that your future is going to be brighter than your past and your present. May God continue to bless you, and congratulations on attaining a unique age of 55.”
Rep. Bamidele Salam was visibly moved by the gesture and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Speaker Abbas and the honorable members of the House for their kind words and well-wishes.
