The Super Eagles’ players have expressed their frustrations, stating that they are no longer interested in the second leg of the AFCON qualifiers’ game against Libya on Tuesday.

The team was delayed upon arriving in Libya yesterday as they were diverted from Benghazi to Al Abaq, thereby getting stranded at the airport for over 15 hours.

Meanwhile, some Super Eagles’ players have taken to various social media platforms on Monday, stating that the situation has worsened, and expressing their desire to return to Nigeria.

‘You can have the points, we’re not playing,’ Super Eagles tell Libya, CAF after being abandoned at airport.

“This is getting scary now. You guys can have the point. We just want to return to our country,” Victor Boniface wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Bruno Onyemaechi said: “This is not longer a joke o please we need help to go back to Nigeria @caf.”

Nantes winger, Moses Simon also tweeted saying: “Me I want to go home ooo🥹 I know play again ooo abeg.”

“This is becoming scary…I’m scared for our lives,” Wilfred Ndidi posted on Instagram.
