For economic stability and reduction of poverty, development must be spread across the grassroot areas. This is why the House of Representatives member representing Ayedaade, Irewole and Isokan Federal Constituency, Hon Lanre Oladebo flagged off several developmental projects across the Constituency on Friday.
The project cut across road infrastructure, education development and rural electrification projects.
The projects include, “Road construction in Agbowo-Molete-Oke Ola-Owode Market (Apomu), Road construction at Olufi Market (Gbongan).
“Road construction in Obada Market-Esinoye Junction (Ode-Omu), Construction of a 3-classroom block in Asejire, Ikoyi and Construction of a 3 classroom block in Gbongan, Establishment of a Standard Health Centre in Araromi Owu
Renovation of the LGA Office in Ikire/Apomu, Drilling of a Standard Borehole in Ikire, and Installation of a 500KVA Transformer in Ode-Omu.
Oladebo, accompanied by leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party in the constituency, commenced the historic flag-off at the Community Grammar, Asejire Community, Ikoyi, where a block of three classrooms will be built.
The team later moved to Alapomu High School, Apomu to inspect ongoing construction of a block of six classrooms. The construction has been completed while furniture have also been supplied to the school.
Three roads over 3.5km were flagged off in Apomu, Gbongan, Ikire and Odeomu and the lawmaker assured residents of prompt delivery of the projects.
Residents trooped our in numbers to welcome the lawmaker and his train at each of the community.
In an interview with the newsmen, Oladebo said he was able to attract a quite number of projects because of his readiness to serve the people.
“I want to appreciate them (constituents ) for the votes they gave me during the election, and I want to assure them that I will fulfill my campaign promises to them, I will facilitate more projects and they will see what good representation is all about.”
Speaking the classrooms and renovations of Local Government Education Authority Office, Ikire, the lawmaker said, “My vision in regards education in Osun State is to see that every child is educated. And the vision has kickstarted and in few months most of these projects will be completed. Our governor has asked us to support his vision and we’re working closely with him to bring about development.
“These are this year’s projects. We shall ensure we bring more for the people next year. Our party is all about people and we will deliver for them.”
Addressing the crowd at Gbongan, State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Sunday Bisi declared that the party will rule beyond 2026, adding that Governor Ademola Adeleke remains the man to beat.
“Ahead of 2026/2027, we will beat APC in the forthcoming elections and lately many of the APC members have decamped to our party, that is to show you that we are ready to work for the development of Osun State and come 2026, Governor Adeleke will win with over 100,000 votes.”
Bisi commended the Lawmaker for facilitating the projects to the grassroots, describing them as “PDP manners”.
Thr Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Afolabi commended the lawmaker for keeping his campaign promises, adding stated that the development will ease the hardship the people face in the community, most especially, as regards the shortage of infrastructure.
Earlier at the Community High School, Asejire Community, the school principal, Mrs Funmilayo appreciated the lawmaker for the initiative to build classrooms for the students in the community .
Community leaders took turns to appreciate the projects, while also tabling their demands and aspirations to the lawmaker and the Osun PDP.
