Music executive Paulo Okoye has criticised activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju for involving Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, in the controversy surrounding the arrest of Speed Darlington.

Earlier, Deji Adeyanju accused Burna Boy of hypocrisy, claiming the singer uses Fela Kuti’s activist-inspired lyrics while allegedly oppressing others.

Responding via his Instagram story, Paulo Okoye defended Burna Boy, calling out Deji for what he described as unwarranted criticism.

He referred to the activist as a “social media lawyer” and insisted he lacked the authority to malign Burna Boy’s reputation.

In a fiery post, Paulo wrote: “Deji Adeyanju or whatever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name. Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?? Smh You are nothing more than a social media lawyer. Lawyer my a$$$. Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth. Control your client.”

This exchange follows Speed Darlington’s allegations linking Burna Boy to American rapper P. Diddy, who is currently facing legal issues in the United States.

Speed Darlington suggested that Burna Boy’s success, including his Grammy win, was influenced by his association with P. Diddy, raising questions about their connection.
The accusations led Burna Boy to file a petition against Speed Darlington for alleged cyberstalking.

This resulted in the rapper’s arrest in Abuja by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
In a further twist, Speed Darlington’s mother accused Burna Boy and his team of orchestrating her son’s arrest. She pleaded with the Grammy-winning artist to facilitate his release.
