In a display of solidarity, the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) Alumni Association has come together to support one of its own, Dr. Alaje, a lecturer who suffered severe injuries in a recent car accident.

Led by National President Comrade Abubakar Abdulbasit Olalekan, the association’s National Executive Council swiftly mobilized an emergency fund to cover Dr. Alaje’s medical expenses. Within days, members generously donated a total of ₦1.8 million to ensure the beloved lecturer receives the necessary care.

During a visit to Dr. Alaje at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Comrade Olalekan presented a wheelchair and crutches to aid his recovery. He also announced that ₦1,624,219.98 had been transferred to Dr. Alaje’s account on behalf of the association.

“We are thrilled to see our members come together in support of Dr. Alaje,” said Comrade Olalekan. “His humility, kindness, and dedication to the university community make him an invaluable member of our alumni family.”

Dr. Alaje, known for his exceptional teaching and mentorship, has received an outpouring of support from the alumni, reflecting their commitment to the welfare of their members.

The delegation accompanying Comrade Olalekan included Vice President Mr. Akinlade Bolu, other National Executive Council members, immediate past President Alhaji Oriola Kabir (Oriz), and Mr. Ajitech.
