Human rights activist Dele Farotimi has reaffirmed his determination to confront his ongoing legal challenges, vowing to fight against perceived injustices.
Taking to social media platform X on Sunday, Farotimi expressed his readiness with a bold and defiant metaphor, likening himself to a warrior preparing for battle.
“I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to shed tears of joy in appreciation of God’s grace, expressed through the support of fellow victims,” he wrote.
Farotimi continued, “My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed—I am ready for war. My resolve was NEVER tested, but I awaited the next round of the fight. I KNEW the first round had been lost by those responsible for my imprisonment.”
The activist’s statement comes amid his ongoing legal troubles. Recently, a Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti granted him bail of N30 million following his arrest over allegations of defaming Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Afe Babalola University founder, Afe Babalola.
Farotimi’s fiery declaration signals his unwavering resolve to see the legal process through.
