Veteran disc jockey Jimmy Jatt, in collaboration with comedian and on-air personality Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, is set to host The Rewind: A Flashback Concert on December 30, 2024, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The concert will not only celebrate Jatt’s remarkable 40-year journey in the entertainment industry but also mark his triumphant return after a period of recuperation following a kidney transplant.
Speaking about the event, Yaw, who serves as the producer, emphasized its significance, saying, “This is more than a musical event; it’s a celebration of resilience, survival, and the evolution of afrobeats music.”
The star-studded lineup includes legendary performers such as 2Baba, Daddy Showkey, 9ice, Styl Plus, Duncan Mighty, Tony Tetuila, African China, and Jazzman Olofin, among others.
Promising to be a nostalgic experience, the event aims to take the audience on a journey through the golden era of afrobeats, honoring the artistes and sounds that shaped Nigerian music history.
