Up-and-coming Nigerian artist Moshood Abdulmuiz, known professionally as Muyeez, has made a public announcement revealing his decision to terminate his contract with Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited.

In a statement shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday, Muyeez, a protégé of Nigerian artist Seyi Vibes, expressed his deep dissatisfaction with his experience under the management of the company, which he claims turned his dreams into a nightmare.

The statement read, “I am breaking my silence to share the painful truth about my journey as an artist under Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited. What should have been a dream come true turned into a nightmare of exploitation, neglect, and betrayal.

“I can no longer stay silent while my hard work and dedication are taken for granted.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the termination of my agreement with Dapper Music & Entertainment Limited.”

Muyeez alleged that he released three successful extended plays in a month, and he had not received any royalties for his work, despite his music topping the charts.

“In just one month, I released three extended plays (EPs), all of which reached number one on the charts. Yet, despite this success, I have not received a single royalty payment for my efforts.

“My passion and hard work were met with indifference, leaving me to wonder if my voice truly mattered,” he wrote.

He also claimed that he was a minor when he signed his contract, trusting the company to guide him, only to be “burdened with impossible demands.”

Muyeez’s announcement comes shortly after fellow signee Crown Uzama, aka Shallipopi, publicly revealed his decision to terminate his contract with Dapper Music & Entertainment.
Shallipopi cited issues of financial mismanagement, lack of transparency, and exploitative contracts that he claims were imposed upon him as the reasons behind his decision.
