In a bid to strengthen Muslim’s faith and also revive Islam among believers, the Academy of Islamic Propagation has recorded no fewer than 15,000 reverts and returnees to the religion globally.

 

The founder and President of the academy, Mallam Yusuf adepoju stated this at the press conference heralding the activities marking the 30th Anniversary of the organisation.

 

“The Academy of Islamic Propagation, ACADIP has grown in the last past years in leaps and bounds. It has this made a significant impact on consolidating Muslims beliefs in Islam and led to a better understanding of other faiths.

 

“Notably, the group has recorded no fewer than 15,000 reverts and returnees to Islam globally and still counting, it is therefore not an understatement to conclude that ACADIP has steadily transformed into a beacon of hope for millions of hopeless individuals and provided a are haven or better still, a sanctuary for numerous truth-seekers across the globe”, he explained.

 

The President also reiterated that stated there are complusion, coercion or disparities in Islam, while adding that everyone is entitled to Thier religion or faith.

 

“We believe in the oneness of God, so also Jesus Christ, we are never discriminating among the prophets of Allah, that is the message of Islam. No Muslim that doesn’t believe in the mission of Jesus Christ is not a Muslim, is only calling himself a Muslim by name.

 

*Every Muslim must believe that Jesus Christ was a prophet of God , Jesus Christ came to this world on a particular mission from his creator, that’s why there’s no disparities in Islam”.

 

The Islamic scholar also condemned the activities of the terrorist groups linking to the Islam, stating that Islam does not support any act of violence no matter how small.

 

“They are never Muslims, Islam Religion do not support any form of violence no matter how small, in fact Al Qur’an condemns any form of violence, the terrorists who claim they are doing it because of the religion , are not Muslims” he stated.

 

Mallam Adepoju gave the outline of the activities marking the 30th anniversary of the organisation, revealing that over 50 comparative scholars will be honoured during the event.

 

“The programme continues with a humanitarian visitation to hospitals, orphanage homes and correctional centers nationwide, while a special jumat service will be held on Friday at all ACADIP mosques in Southwest Nigeria.

 

The Academy has planned to award 50 prominent scholars aNd preachers in Nigeria with awards of excellence at the international conference centre, University of Ibadan on Sunday.

 

ACADIP was founded in the year 1995 as a dawah group on the campus of Federal University of Technology, Akure and has become a global brand with branches in Europe, Middle East and North America.
