A High Court in Aboto has sentenced two men, Oluwasina Adenle Wakeel and Yusuf Adewale, to 24 years imprisonment for various crimes, including conspiracy, attempted murder, and assault.

 

The court, presided over by Hon. Justice K.M. Akano, found the defendants guilty of all charges after careful consideration of the evidence presented by the prosecution and the defense.

 

The defendants were accused of conspiring to commit assault occasioning harm, attempted murder, and breach of peace, among other charges. The prosecution called four witnesses to testify against the defendants, including two victims and a medical practitioner.

 

In delivering the judgment, Justice Akano emphasized the severity of the crimes committed by the defendants and the need to protect society from such individuals. The defendants were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, ranging from 1 month to 7 years, which will run concurrently.

 

The case was prosecuted by State Counsel M.A. Bello (Mrs.) and Adekunle Adeniyi Esq., while the defendants were represented by their counsel.
