Popular On-Air Personality (OAP) Daddy Freeze has weighed in on a video showing Nigerian singer 2baba with an unidentified woman, just days after announcing his divorce from actress Annie Idibia.
In the trending video, 2baba appeared to be leaving the nightclub with the lady which sparked widespread speculation and conversations online about the singer’s seemingly quick transition from his marriage to Annie.
Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday, Daddy Freeze shared his perspective on the situation. He pointed out that 2baba’s behavior has been consistent throughout his relationships, both before and during his marriage to Annie.
Daddy Freeze questioned why people expected the “African Queen” singer to suddenly change his ways after publicly announcing the end of his marriage, noting that 2baba has always been open about his polygamous tendencies.
He said, “2baba has always been consistent in his relationships. Before the wedding, he was like this, he had women in his life. During the marriage, he had women in his life. So how do we expect him to suddenly become a priest after announcing his divorce?”
He continued, “Maybe we expected too much. He’s never shown us that he’s not polygamous. He had five kids before marriage. That’s his weakness. Let’s not judge him for it, or cancel him. Let’s not forget his massive contribution to African music because of his flaws, which are similar to those of biblical figures like Solomon, David, Moses, and Abraham. Now suddenly, 2baba is the bad guy?”
