Grammy-nominated Afrobeats sensation Davido has revealed that his much-awaited fifth studio album, 5ive, will be released on March 14, 2025.
The exciting news was shared on Saturday through a pre-save link posted across his social media platforms, accompanied by the announcement: “5ive is scheduled to be released on March 14.”
This album marks a major milestone in Davido’s illustrious career, following the success of previous hits like A Better Time (2020) and Timeless (2023).
Building the anticipation, Davido has already dropped two singles from 5ive in 2024: “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and the chart-topping “Funds,” which creatively samples Brenda Fassie’s 1997 classic “Vuli Ndlela” with a fresh Afrobeat twist.
The 32-year-old artist, born David Adeleke, shared his excitement in December, calling 5ive a deeply personal reflection of his journey. “My people. The journey continues in 2025 with my new album 5IVE. This is straight from the heart — my story, my truth, and my growth,” he said.
Davido, who rose to fame with his hit single “Dami Duro” in 2012, continues to dominate the global music scene. Along with a string of successful albums, he’s also the founder of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), a label that’s shaped the careers of many rising stars. With 5ive, Davido promises to take his fans on a new, unforgettable musical journey.
