Narrating his ordeal to Insight Links TV on Wednesday, he alleged that the soldier collected his 700k in cash, his two phones.
He said,” I bought a land in 2021 in Ede and in 2024, I sold out the land to some people, so three days ago, I was on my way to the farm because I’m a farmer and I buy cattles or any livestock I get my hands on.
“I passed the site and I met some people working on the land, initially I thought that it was the people I sold the land to, but to my surprise, it wasn’t. I also called this people to come over to the land.
“So, I asked them what they were doing on the land and who sent them, they said it was a soldier, so I told them to stop working and call the soldier to come down to the site.
” At the arrival of the soldier (Segun Ogunyemi), he just asked them who told them to stop working, they pointed at me and he didn’t ask any further questions and I was beaten, my teeth fell out, I could only pick one of my teeth on the floor, the soldier took the other person I was with and me too and dropped me at one Baba laisi Adegoke and they zoomed off with my money and phones and the other person.
“With blood dripping from my mouth and nose, I cried to the man for help and narrated what happened, the man said the soldiers were working on the order of Timi of Ede.
“So, he told me to go to the palace to explain and seek for help, I went to the palace and I wasn’t attended to, I was almost losing consciousness, I went back to the man’s place and I was taken to the hospital from there.
When asked if there was pending matter between him and Timi of Ede to warrant the incident.
He explained that there’s a case in court, but he doesn’t know if that was why he was beaten.
“We have a case in court over a land that involves one of his chiefs, a Fulani, Timi of Ede has asked me to withdraw from the land but I told him no, I don’t know if that was why I was beaten to pulp.
