Abosede, the mother of the late singer Mohbad, has revealed that her son kept his wedding to Omowunmi and the birth of his son private due to threats and pressure from his former label boss, Naira Marley.

Speaking during a live TikTok session, she said, “My son lived in fear all his life. It was because of Naira Marley that Mohbad chose not to publicize his wedding and the birth of his son. Mohbad was a good man, and I am certain he never trafficked cocaine.”

Abosede also alleged that Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, was responsible for delaying the DNA test to confirm the paternity of Liam, the singer’s son.

She expressed frustration over the ongoing issue, saying, “Jossy is the one delaying the DNA test. We are ready for it. Wunmi must do the DNA for Liam. I know he is my grandchild. When Mohbad was alive, he never once said Liam wasn’t his son.”

She also recalled how Aloba had posed for pictures with Liam just days before Mohbad’s death, which suggested he never doubted the child’s paternity.

Refuting rumors linking Mohbad to drug trafficking, Abosede emphasized, “My son was a good man, and I say this with full conviction. He never trafficked cocaine.”

Addressing another controversy, she clarified that Mohbad’s brother, Adura, was not the one who contacted actor Yomi Fabiyi with information about the singer’s death. Abosede accused Yomi of trying to frame Adura based on false claims from another individual named Damola.

Omowunmi, Mohbad’s widow, had earlier called out Aloba for avoiding the DNA test, which further fueled speculation about his intentions.

Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, under mysterious circumstances. His body was exhumed for an autopsy nine days later, but the case remains unresolved as family tensions continue to capture public attention.
