Former Manchester United Forward, Mason Greenwood has insisted that goals aren’t his priority at Marseille, with the forward keeping title dreams alive.

Having been named Player of the Season during a successful loan spell at Getafe in 2023-24, the England international headed to Marseille in France last summer, the 23-year-old was able to hit the ground running again in new surroundings.

Greenwood has taken his fine form to the current campaign, he has netted 12 goals in all competitions this season, he won Ligue 1 Player of the Month in December last year after his tremendous performance. That fine form has carried over into 2025.

A goal and assist were registered in his latest outing with a 2-1 victory over Rennes but Greenwood insists that points, rather than individual performance remain his top priority.

He has told reporters: “I’m very happy with these goals and to support my team, but I’m not sad if I don’t score. As long as we win, I don’t care. I want to win every game.”

Marseille will need to keep on winning and be on their best performance if they want to chase down Paris Saint-Germain and claim a first league title since 2010, with the reigning champions still seven points clear at the summit.
