Adura Aloba, the brother of late singer Mohbad, has denied claims made by actor Yomi Fabiyi, who accused him of knowing the cause of Mohbad’s death and demanding money to share evidence.

Mohbad tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2023.

At a recent press conference, Yomi Fabiyi alleged that Adura had contacted him on Instagram, claiming to possess a video showing Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, allegedly pushing him down the stairs.

Fabiyi further alleged that Adura requested N3 million to release the video.

In response, Adura denied the allegations, clarifying that he was not the creator of the video in question.

According to him, the footage was recorded by Mohbad himself and was stored on a phone that Adura later sold to someone named Damola.

Adura explained, “Firstly, I don’t have much to say. This is already in court, so I don’t need to add much. If I knew the cause of my brother’s death, I would not have stayed silent all this time. I am shocked. This video dates back over three years. I didn’t make it; Mohbad recorded it on a phone I sold to Damola. The video was on that phone. I was the one who contacted Mr. Yomi, and I tried to explain. (Facing Fabiyi) You were invited and told who was reaching out to you, but you insisted on the TikTok live. I saw everything on the TikTok live.”

He added, “Mohbad made the video, and it was on his phone for over three years. After I sold the phone to Damola, I started receiving messages from him regarding Mr. Yomi.”
Adura also accused Yomi of attempting to damage his reputation. “Mr. Yomi is trying to tarnish my name and falsely claim that I did it,” he said.
