Neymar has admitted that it “would be interesting to revive” his fabled ‘MSN’ strike partnership with Inter Miami stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

While two members of that trio are plying their trade in MLS at present, Brazilian forward Neymar remains under contract at Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. There has been talk of that deal being ripped up, amid much-publicised injury struggles, but terms that are due to expire in the summer of 2025 are expected to be honoured.

Neymar may have a big career call to make this summer, and the 32-year-old has already seen a move speculated on that would see him reunite with former Barcelona team-mates Messi and Suarez in the United States.

Quizzed by CNN Sport on whether he would like to work with familiar faces again, Neymar said: “Obviously, playing again with Messi and Suarez would be incredible. They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al-Hilal, I’m happy in Saudi Arabia, but who knows. Football is full of surprises.

“When the news came out that I was leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the transfer window was closed in the United States, so I didn’t have this option. The project they offered me (in Saudi Arabia) was very good, not just for me but also for my family, so going to Saudi Arabia was the best option.”

Neymar is five years younger than Messi and Suarez, meaning that he has more time left in his career at the very highest level. Two fellow South American superstars are only under contract at Inter Miami through the 2025 MLS campaign.
