Nigerian actress Omowunmi Dada has shared her shocking experience of contracting sepsis while working on a film project in Oyo State.

Her story comes shortly after actress Jemima Osunde revealed her own health challenges caused by contaminated food on a set in Ibadan.

In response to Osunde’s post on X.com, Dada recounted her ordeal: “My dear… I got sepsis on a project in Oyo, and they literally left me in the hotel. Thank God my family and management arranged for a car to take me to a hospital in Ibadan. I arrived unconscious. It was sepsis, and I was lucky to survive.”

Dada also expressed disbelief at the production company’s behavior during her critical condition, revealing, “Funny thing, production asked for a full refund. Hmm…”

Osunde responded, “OMG! Sepsis? Thank God for your life sis! Thank God!” She then shared her own experience, saying, “Sameeee! I got myself to Lagos and to the hospital. I paid for my treatment myself. They were still sending me messages about a refund. When my team responded with all the contract clauses they had breached, they went quiet. Talking about a refund when you haven’t even asked if I’ve recovered.”

In a previous report, PUNCH Online highlighted Osunde’s health battle after consuming contaminated food on set three years ago. She revealed she contracted Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria that affects the stomach, and has been dealing with gastroesophageal reflux disease ever since.
