The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has officially endorsed the production of a film based on the historic Ekiti Parapo War, celebrating the resilience and victory of the Ekiti people against oppression.
The project will bring this iconic story to the screen, offering an in-depth look at the war’s significance.
Governor Oyebanji approved a collaboration between the State Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy and AL Notions Film Company, owned by Nollywood power couple, Lateef and Adebimpe Adedimeji.
The Governor emphasized that the film will be a world-class production, meticulously detailing the war’s history.
According to a statement from the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the project will be fully funded by the private sector, led by AL Notions Film Company—the producers of the epic film ‘Lisabi’.
The film will also have support from the Ekiti State Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, with guidance from the ministry’s Honorable Commissioner, Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, a renowned Artistic Director in Africa.

They pledged their full commitment to ensuring the film receives the highest level of attention and quality production.
The project will also feature Ekiti towns and villages as primary shooting locations and will involve a wide range of talented artists, including many from Ekiti itself.
