The premiere of Lisabi: A Legend is Born on January 9, 2025, brought Yoruba heritage to the forefront, drawing a star-studded crowd of celebrities and guests.
Held at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Onikan, Lagos, the event set the stage for a cultural celebration steeped in history and artistry.
Before the screening, the red carpet buzzed with excitement as attendees eagerly awaited the sequel to Lisabi: An Uprising.
Actor and co-producer, Lateef Adedimeji, teased the audience, promising that the second installment would answer all the questions left by the first film.
Adedimeji also opened up about the challenges faced during production “It was tough gathering everyone for the many days of shooting, especially with the fight sequences, but it was an exciting journey. I’m proud of how it turned out, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it.”
The premiere attracted an array of notable entertainers, including Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Yinka Quadri, and many others, who added to the excitement and prestige of the event.
