In a spectacular and well-organized event, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, under the administration of the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke officially inaugurated the Imole-Youth Corps Scheme at Freedom Park, Osogbo.
The initiative, a visionary project of Governor Adeleke, is designed to empower 10,000 Osun youths by providing them with employment opportunities, reducing crime, and boosting their confidence for a brighter future.
The event was a colorful spectacle, as all 10,000 beneficiaries proudly wore their official kits, signifying the dawn of a new era for youth empowerment in Osun State.
The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, led a high-profile delegation to the occasion. In attendance were Prince Kola Adewusi, The First Lady, Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, The Wife of the Governor, Erelu Ngozi Adeleke Speaker, Adewale Egbedun and The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, Commissioners Traditional Rulerr, among others.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olagunju expressed his excitement and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth development. He noted that the 10,000 selected beneficiaries would receive a monthly stipend of N30,000 and be deployed into three key sectors based on their qualifications:
Imole-Teachers Corps
Imole-Medical Corps
Imole-Environmental Corps
The Commissioner commended the governor’s dedication to youth empowerment and urged the beneficiaries to remain hardworking, honest, and united in their service to the state.
