Popular Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has opened up about her family’s health challenges in 2024, revealing the tough experiences they faced.
In a heartfelt Instagram post marking her 2025 birthday, Adesua reflected on the difficult year, highlighting how it tested her strength and deepened her gratitude for life.
The actress shared that she had to undergo an emergency C-section due to life-threatening complications, describing the tough recovery process that followed.
Adesua also opened up about her own struggles with illness during pregnancy and revealed that her husband, singer Banky W, had to undergo surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.
“2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sails, so I’m grateful to be here celebrating my life and God’s faithfulness,” she wrote.
“From battling months of hyperemesis and being hospitalized, to discovering my husband needed surgery while I was sick and pregnant—it was overwhelming.”
She added, “I ended up with an emergency C-section because the devil tried it with my life AGAIN, leading to a harrowing healing process. It was a lot.”
Despite the difficulties, Adesua expressed deep gratitude for her strong support system and faith, which she believes have only made her stronger.
She ended her post on an empowering note, saying, “NOW, I’m coming for everything that is mine. Nothing and nobody can stop me.”
