The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended three individuals for allegedly attacking its operatives during the unrest at the Lagos State House of Assembly on February 18.
The arrests followed a request from the Lagos Assembly for increased security at the complex, as stated in a letter dated February 14, 2025, and signed by the acting Clerk, A.T.B. Ottun.
The letter, referenced LSHA/FAD/0/7554/323, instructed the DSS to implement strict access control measures at the Assembly complex from February 15, with no set end date.
The acting Clerk further noted that the impeached Speaker had planned to return to office on February 18, describing the situation as potentially volatile.
