Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has humorously reminded her fans that the N1.8 billion box office earnings from her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, aren’t entirely hers.
While encouraging fans to continue supporting the movie to help it hit a new N2 billion milestone, Akindele acknowledged the impressive N1.8 billion but explained that the money is shared among several parties.
In a post on X.com on Saturday, she wrote, “I beg no be only me get the 1.8 billion o! Cinema go collect, tax go collect, distributor go collect! Maybe when I get to 2B naira, I fit settle. So please go see #eljthemovie in cinemas and help us reach 2 billion naira. Thank you.”
