The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Kayode Egbetokun has commend the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abba for ensuring a peaceful and secure environment during the crisis of the state local government election.
This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday in Osun by Police Spokesperson CSP Yemisi Opalola, Egbetokun gave the commendation during a visit to the police command on Tuesday.
Opalola said the IGP was in Osun to supervise and gain a firsthand view of the situation in the state concerning the recently conducted local government election.
She said, IGP was represented by Ari Muhammed Ali, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of Operations, he commended the officers who worked tirelessly over the week to maintain peace and order.
“He also commended the Osun Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership and role in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment throughout the election period.
“He praised the officers and men for their dedication and hard work and expressed gratitude for their support,” she said.
