Naira Marley has broken his silence following a ruling by a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos, which exonerated him and his associate Sam Larry from any involvement in the death of fellow musician, Mohbad.
The court’s decision on Tuesday confirmed that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Prime Boy had no case to answer in connection with Mohbad’s tragic passing.
However, the court did state that the auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad, as well as his friend Ayobami, would face prosecution for acts of negligence and recklessness.
In response to the court ruling, Naira Marley shared verses from the Quran on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. One of the verses underscored the importance of trust in Allah, stating: “And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him. (65:3).”
Another verse referenced divine justice, highlighting that although people may plot against others, Allah is the ultimate planner: “And ‘remember, O Prophet,’ when the disbelievers conspired to capture, kill, or exile you. They planned, but Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners.”
His post comes amid continuing conversations surrounding Mohbad’s death and the ongoing legal proceedings related to the case.
