Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Tolanibaj, has opened up about her decision to move to Nigeria, calling it “one of the best decisions” of her life.
In a recent post on her X page, the reality star shared her personal journey of relocating, revealing that at the time, it didn’t entirely make sense to her.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Tolanibaj made the bold move to Nigeria in December 2018, driven by her aspiration to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Despite the uncertainties, she felt an undeniable pull to take the leap.
Reflecting on the experience, she wrote, “Honestly, one of the best choices I ever made in life was relocating to Nigeria. I’m grateful to God for the timing of my move. The thought of moving didn’t make complete sense to me at the time but it just felt right, and I took the risk. It’s been six interesting years, and I couldn’t be happier.”
Her move paid off when she gained widespread recognition as a contestant on the BBNaija ‘Lockdown’ season in 2020. Although she didn’t win, Tolanibaj returned for the 2023 ‘All Stars’ season but was evicted in the fifth week.
