Afro-pop Queen Yemi Alade may not have taken home the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, but she is undoubtedly a winner in her own right.

Nominated for her hit song “Tomorrow,” she ultimately lost out to Tems’ “Love Me Jeje.”

Despite not winning, Yemi Alade’s resilience and drive are truly admirable. On Instagram, she confidently declared herself a winner, sharing, “I’m here because I didn’t stop believing… I always counted myself in and surrounded myself with uplifters and truth tellers.”

Yemi Alade continues to solidify her place as a dominant force in the Nigerian music scene. Her Grammy nomination alone speaks volumes about her dedication and talent.

With the release of her latest track, “Key to Your Heart,” it’s clear that she’s far from slowing down. While the Grammy may not have been hers this time, Yemi Alade remains a true winner in our eyes!
