Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, better known as Baba Tee, has admitted to a brief sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Ijoba Lande.
The actor made this admission during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok influencers on Sunday.
This revelation marks a change from Baba Tee’s previous denial of the affair. Initially, he had challenged Lande to provide evidence of the claims and threatened legal action over defamation.
Lande had earlier alleged that his wife had been unfaithful, naming at least 21 men from the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee.
Previously, Baba Tee had denied any involvement with Lande’s wife, claiming he had met her only once through actress Marygold, and was unaware of her marital status. He explained that Marygold had introduced her as a content creator, and it wasn’t until later that he learned her true identity.
However, in the latest twist, Baba Tee confessed that he did indeed have a sexual encounter with Lande’s wife, though he described it as a “short” and unplanned event.
According to him, the encounter occurred while playing a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ with Dara and Marygold at his house. He explained that Marygold had dared Dara to engage in the act, which she accepted while intoxicated. Baba Tee admitted, “It was a quick sexual encounter. I never meant for it to happen, but it did because I was drunk.”
Baba Tee went on to clarify that his earlier denials were based on the fact that Marygold never introduced Dara as Lande’s wife. He stated, “Now I realize it was a set-up by both of them to tarnish my image.”
In the wake of the admission, Esabod advised Baba Tee to formally apologize to Lande, as his initial denial and threat of legal action had caused significant damage.
Following the interview, Baba Tee posted an apology on his official Facebook page, saying, “I am deeply sorry, brother Lande. I had no idea Dara was your wife. I fear women.”
Marygold, who manages Ijoba Lande, is also alleged to have recorded the encounter between Baba Tee and Dara.
This disclosure has sparked widespread attention, with many questioning the motivations behind the actions of those involved.
