Afrobeats star, Asake, has admitted his father, Fatai Odunsi, to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi, where Chinese medical experts are currently treating him, a reliable source confirmed.
A neighbor of Odunsi, who had earlier guided our correspondent to Asake’s childhood home in Iga Idunganran, Isale Eko, during a visit last Saturday, confirmed that Odunsi was receiving care at the facility.
In a conversation with Sunday Scoop, the neighbor, speaking in local Isale Eko dialect (translated into English), said, “Call me again around 6:30 pm. By then, I will have visited their home, and I can provide you with more information.
” When contacted again at 7 pm, she confirmed, “I spoke with Odunsi’s wife, and he is now admitted to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi where Chinese experts are attending to him.”
A source close to Asake’s management, speaking anonymously, described the situation as an oversight. The source confirmed that Asake had started fulfilling his financial responsibilities toward his father and his daughter, Zeenat.
However, the source could not comment on whether Asake planned to resume his relationship with Zeenat’s mother or provide financial support to her.
“The whole situation was an oversight, but everything has been resolved. Asake has reconciled with his family and has promised to provide for them. To the best of my knowledge, he has started keeping the promises he made, and that’s why there is now calm,” the source said. “I don’t know what will happen with the baby mama, but that’s all I can confirm.”
Earlier, Odunsi shared an update in a viral video, confirming that Asake had committed to buying him a new house and covering his medical expenses. He also mentioned that real estate agents were actively seeking a suitable property.
Additionally, Asake agreed to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. However, Odunsi did not mention whether Asake intended to resume a relationship with Zeenat’s mother or offer her financial support.
