The Delta State Government has withdrawn a query issued to nursing student Osato Edobor over her involvement in a viral video that showed students rejecting First Lady Oluremi Tinubu as their “mother” during her recent visit.
According to Commissioner for Health Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, the government is committed to upholding students’ rights and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Onojaeme stated that he has instructed the provost to withdraw the query letter, emphasizing that the government does not intend to victimize any student over the incident.
The commissioner also personally reached out to Edobor to confirm the withdrawal of the disciplinary action.
He urged the public to disregard any misinformation surrounding the issue, reiterating that the government has no intention of victimizing the student.
