The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, and his supporters back to the party.

Jandor, who was the 2023 governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), resigned from the party on March 3, citing issues of discipline and betrayal within its ranks. He announced his return to the APC on Monday.

Jandor, who had previously defected from the APC to PDP in 2021, was a leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and a former governorship aspirant under the APC.

Speaking to NAN, APC spokesman in Lagos, Mr. Seye Oladejo, expressed the party’s excitement over Jandor’s return.

“He is welcome home. We are pleased that he now realizes that Lagos State is safer and better under the progressives, who have enjoyed the trust of our people since the start of this administration,” Oladejo said.

He also mentioned that Jandor would have the opportunity to contribute to the party’s growth and the success of the state government. “We expect more defectors in the near future,” he added.

Jandor’s return to the APC comes weeks after his resignation from the PDP, which he attributed to internal crises and a lack of party discipline.
