The Ekiti Police Command has apprehended a suspect, Victor Lorjaal, for allegedly murdering his mother, Mrs. Victoria Lorjaal, and sister, Brenda Lorjaal, on their farm in Itaji-Ekiti.
The incident occurred on March 25, 2025, at approximately 7:10 am.
According to eyewitness testimony from a child of the deceased, Victor Lorjaal was working with him on the farm before suddenly leaving to attack his mother and sister at a nearby location.
The witness reported hearing his mother’s screams for help, but by the time he approached, Victor Lorjaal had already committed the crime and fled the scene with the cutlass used in the attack. The victims were found in a pool of blood.
Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.
Victor Lorjaal is currently in police custody and will face charges in court upon completion of the investigation.
