The younger brother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, was arrested by Nigeria Police officers on the premises of the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos State. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, following a legal proceeding regarding a phone that was allegedly sold to one Damola Ayinde.
Adura, the late singer’s brother, was detained along with his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, also known as King White. This development follows a heated controversy that started in December 2024, when actor Yomi Fabiyi filed a petition accusing Adura of initiating an Instagram conversation in which he allegedly demanded N3 million in Bitcoin for a video showing how Mohbad died.
Adura denied the allegations, claiming the conversation stemmed from Ayinde, whom he had sold the phone to. A forensic investigation is ongoing, with the court still probing the case.
In reaction to the arrest, Adura’s mother, Abosede, was seen in a viral video, emotionally pleading for help in locating her son. She accused Yomi Fabiyi and one Sam Jojo of orchestrating the abduction.
In the video, she cried out, “Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo have taken my son. I don’t know where they are taking him.”
Earlier in December, Adura had demanded a public apology from Fabiyi, Ayinde, and others for allegedly hacking his TikTok account and tarnishing his reputation. He filed a lawsuit seeking N1 billion in damages, claiming defamation, tampering with evidence, and false accusations.
A family member, speaking anonymously, said that Koleosho’s arrest may have stemmed from a confrontation with Fabiyi over the issue of the phone.
“We don’t know where Adura is, but I can confirm Koleosho was arrested after the court proceedings today. It seems there was an exchange of words with Fabiyi,” the family source said.
Fabiyi did not respond to calls or texts regarding the arrest.
A police source confirmed that Adura and Koleosho were arrested by operatives from the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, rather than the Lagos State Command. Efforts to reach the police spokesperson, Ayuba Umma, for further clarification were unsuccessful.
This story continues to develop, and further details will follow as they emerge.
