Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has lashed out at social media commentator Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM), for trying to drag him into a diss track targeting gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
VDM had announced plans to release a track titled “Body of Christ” in retaliation for Chinwo’s N1.125 billion defamation lawsuit against him.
The lawsuit stems from VDM’s allegations that Chinwo misused funds from her performances, failing to pay her former record label.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Portable expressed anger over VDM’s request, urging him to stop mentioning his name.
He accused VDM of defaming individuals, tarnishing businesses, and even ruining marriages. The singer further questioned VDM’s financial status, asking if he had N100 million to afford a feature with him.
Portable said, “You’re overstepping your boundaries, VDM or whatever you call yourself. Stop mentioning my name. You’re the kind of person who defames people online, rich people, people with grace and glory. You attack people’s businesses and marriages. You come out of nowhere… Do you even have N100 million in your account to pay for a feature with me?”
