Liverpool striker, Mohamed Salah is destined to make history at Premier League as the Liverpool hero matched Erling Haaland & Arsenal hero Thierry Henry’s records.

Salah is also tied with the highest number of goal contributions in a Premier League season, with a combined total of 44 goals and assists this term. This equals the record set by Arsenal’s Thierry Henry during the 2002/03 season and Erling Haaland of Manchester City in 2022/23.

However, Alan Shearer and Andy Cole still jointly hold the record for the most goal contributions in a single Premier League season with each player recorded 47 in the era of 42-game seasons.

Salah’s 184 Premier League goals also moved him to joint-fifth place on the league’s all-time goalscorer list alongside Sergio Aguero. However, the Egyptian is still far off the Premier League record held by Alan Shearer with 260 goals

With Liverpool securing the vital three points against Southampton, they continue to press on in their hunt for both Premier League and Champions League success. The attention of the team will now shifted to the continental fixture against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 at Anfield on Tuesday.
