Afropop star Yemi Alade has released a new single titled “You Are,” a powerful anthem celebrating strength, resilience, and cultural heritage.
The track is inspired by the upcoming superhero fantasy series Iyanu and comes with a lyric video produced by Lion Forge Entertainment, featuring animation from the series.
Known as “Mama Africa,” Alade infuses the song with her signature vibrant vocals and rich cultural influences, weaving a narrative of self-discovery and destiny.
Alade shared, “Music has always been a powerful way to tell our stories, and ‘You Are’ speaks to our strength and divine power. It’s an anthem for anyone discovering their own greatness. The song was produced by Grammy-nominated Michael Hodges, who also co-wrote the track along with Alade, Kayla Morrison, Gerald Trottman, and Ghian Wright. Hodges praised Alade’s performance, noting, “She is the right voice for this message. Her vocals bring a unique energy and emotion that define the song.”
