Veteran Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba (formerly 2Face), has reunited with his mother, Mrs. Rosemary Idibia, amid ongoing rumors about his alleged marriage to Honourable Natasha Osawaru.
Earlier, Mrs. Idibia made headlines when she publicly appealed for help concerning her son’s personal situation.
In a viral video, she called on Nigerians to intervene and urge Natasha Osawaru to “release” 2Baba from what she described as a distressing situation.
“This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m pleading with all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she said in the video.
The situation intensified when the Idibia family, represented by their lawyer Wilson Anuge, filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS) after 2Baba went missing.
According to the petition, dated February 7, 2025, the singer disappeared after leaving his home on February 10 for what was thought to be a routine walk but failed to return.
However, a video that surfaced on social media on Sunday showed 2Baba with his mother, taking photos alongside friends and associates. Another clip showed Natasha Osawaru with a teenager, and 2Baba later joined them, dressed in black sportswear.
2Baba recently confirmed his relationship with Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party.
His revelation came shortly after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with whom he shares two daughters.
In an Instagram video, 2Baba openly declared his love for Osawaru, saying, “Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her.” He also clarified that Osawaru was not the cause of his separation from Annie.
On February 13, 2025, a video surfaced showing 2Baba proposing to Osawaru in front of close friends. Soon after, Osawaru updated her Instagram bio to read “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,” hinting at a potential formal union between the two.
As of now, neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru have made any official statements regarding their relationship or the earlier family concerns.
