Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says he will address his future at the club once the season concludes, following the team’s recent Champions League exit at the hands of Arsenal.

The Italian coach faced questions about his position after Madrid were knocked out in the quarter-finals, losing 5-1 on aggregate to the English side. However, Ancelotti remained composed during a press conference on Saturday, choosing to delay discussions about his future until the campaign wraps up.

“At the end of the season, we will speak about it with the club,” Ancelotti stated, brushing off speculation about a possible dismissal.

Ancelotti, whose contract runs until 2026, emphasized that the team remains focused on their remaining objectives.

“I’ve spoken with the players and the club — we all agree that we must fight for the titles still available,” said the 65-year-old, ahead of Madrid’s La Liga fixture against Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid currently sit four points behind leaders Barcelona and are set to face their arch-rivals in the Copa del Rey final on April 26.

“Of course we’re all disappointed — the players, the fans, and the club — especially after being eliminated from what many consider the most important competition for Madrid,” he said, reflecting on the club’s deep connection with the Champions League. “But we’re united, in both good and difficult times. The president has always shown me more support in these tough moments than even when we’ve won.”

Ancelotti has also been linked with the Brazil national team job, particularly after coach Dorival Junior was reportedly dismissed following a defeat to Argentina. When asked about the possibility of taking over, Ancelotti remained tight-lipped.

“I have nothing to add. As I’ve said, we’ll talk at the end of the season.”

He also admitted uncertainty about whether “end of the season” would mean before or after the FIFA Club World Cup, which Madrid are due to play in starting June 14 in the United States.
