The event’s red carpet arrivals sparked a buzz across social media, with hashtags such as #TheHeadies and #Headies2025 dominating the trending topics.
Among the distinguished guests was Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, along with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his wife, Priscilla, who made their Headies debut as a newlywed couple.
The red carpet also featured Nollywood stars Annie Macaulay (estranged wife of Afrobeats icon 2Baba), Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan (BamBam), socialite Pascal Okechukwu (Cubana Chief Priest), and Big Brother Naija 2021 winner Hazel Oyeze Onoduenyi (White Money).

Founded in 2006 as the Hip Hop World Awards, The Headies has grown to become Nigeria’s most prestigious music awards show.
The 17th edition of the awards celebrated both local and international artists, acknowledging their contributions to the music scene in the past year.
As the 2024 edition wraps up, the music industry now looks ahead to the next Headies, set for December 2025.
