Veteran lawmaker Oluwole Oke has officially parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ending a long-standing affiliation with the party.

Oke, who has represented the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State for six terms in the House of Representatives, cited extensive consultations with political associates, family, and allies as the basis for his decision.

His resignation letter, dated April 16, 2025, was addressed to the PDP Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun Local Government Area.

Speaking briefly in a phone interview on Wednesday, Oke confirmed, “I have resigned from the PDP.”

Although he didn’t reveal his next political move, he urged his supporters to follow suit and leave the party, promising to give further directives soon.
