Outraged by a wave of deadly attacks, residents of Jos, Plateau State, flooded the streets on Monday to demand justice and an end to the violence plaguing their communities.

The protest, led by Christian leaders including Rev. Polycarp Lubo, Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), brought traffic to a standstill as demonstrators blocked major roads at Fwavwei Junction.

The unrest follows recent attacks in Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas, where over 100 people have reportedly been killed in the past two weeks. Fulani militants are suspected to be responsible for the assaults.

“We’re tired of the bloodshed,” said Gyang Dalyop, one of the protesters. “We demand justice and protection.”

Another protester, Hannatu Philip, appealed to the government to take immediate action before the crisis deepens.

Chanting slogans and carrying placards, the demonstrators marched toward Rayfield Government House, calling for peace, accountability, and urgent intervention.
