Justice Binta Fatima Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has imposed a ban on media interviews for all parties involved in the lawsuit filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three others.
The decision was made on Friday after Akpabio’s counsel, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), expressed concerns about the plaintiff’s media appearances, which he claimed were discussing aspects of the ongoing legal proceedings.
In her ruling, Justice Nyako instructed that neither the parties nor their legal teams should engage with the media regarding the case.
She also prohibited the streaming or live broadcasting of court sessions on social media.
