Kim Kardashian is set to appear in a French courtroom on April 28 to testify in the high-profile trial connected to the 2016 robbery in Paris, where she was held at gunpoint and robbed of millions in jewelry.

Among the stolen items was a diamond ring gifted to her by then-husband Kanye West.

Six suspects are on trial for their roles in the dramatic heist, which occurred during Paris Fashion Week inside Kardashian’s private luxury residence.

A Global Icon

Born on October 21, 1980, in Los Angeles, Kim Kardashian has evolved from socialite to global business mogul over nearly two decades.

The daughter of famed attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner, she first gained public attention alongside Paris Hilton before breaking out on her own in 2007 with the release of a private video and the premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Despite early skepticism surrounding her fame, Kardashian has built a multi-billion-dollar empire.

From her beauty line KKW Beauty to the hugely successful shapewear brand Skims now valued at $4 billion she’s become a powerhouse in fashion, business, and social media, amassing over 350 million Instagram followers.

Personal Life in the Spotlight

Kardashian’s 2014 marriage to rapper Kanye West propelled her further into the cultural spotlight.

Their lavish wedding, public appearances, and four children kept them in the headlines, though the relationship ultimately ended in divorce in 2021 amid West’s increasingly erratic behavior.

Since then, Kardashian has been romantically linked to comedian Pete Davidson and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. Through it all, she has remained focused on her children, telling GQ in a 2023 interview: “Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard.”

A Passion for Justice

Beyond her media and business ventures, Kardashian has also pursued a career in law. She’s become a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform, even lobbying President Donald Trump to grant clemency to a nonviolent offender.

In 2021, she passed California’s “baby bar” exam an important milestone on her journey to becoming a practicing attorney, a path she says would have made her father proud.
