Late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was posthumously awarded Best Street-Hop Artiste for his hit single “Ask About Me” at the 17th Headies Awards on Sunday.

Mohbad’s family, including his wife and young son, Liam, were present to accept the award on his behalf, receiving a standing ovation from the audience in recognition of his talent and legacy.

In addition to the Best Street-Hop Artiste award, Mohbad’s collaboration with Chike on the track “Egwu” won the Headies Viewers’ Choice Award. The song also earned multiple posthumous nominations, including Best Collaboration for “Egwu” and Afrobeats Single of the Year for the same track.
