Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho clashed with his Galatasaray counterpart, Okan Buruk, after a heated 2-1 defeat in the Turkish Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Following the final whistle, Mourinho grabbed Buruk’s face and momentarily squeezed the Turkish coach’s nose. Buruk then fell to the ground, clutching his face.

The match ended in chaos, with three red cards shown in the 92nd minute—one for Fenerbahçe and two for Galatasaray.

Fenerbahçe, currently second in the Turkish league, have a fierce rivalry with league leaders and reigning champions Galatasaray.

Mourinho, 62, who took charge of Fenerbahçe last summer, was handed a four-match suspension and fined in February for remarks made after a league match against Galatasaray.

The former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United boss criticized match officiating in Turkey and accused the Galatasaray bench of “jumping like monkeys” in reaction to a refereeing decision. His comments led to accusations of racism from Galatasaray, which he denied.
