
The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barr Hannatu Musa Musawa has expressed her appreciation to Arise Group for award of recognition given to 65 Women who are Making Impact and praised Nigerian women for breaking gender barriers in the society
The Minister said this at a gala night held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos on Monday night, the events as part of the activities to commemorate International Women’s month was staged to honour a remarkable women who are making impact in the society, o mark.
Musawa while receiving her award from former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, she emphasized the strength and resilience of women in the society, citing their ability to be both sensitive and courageous.
The Minister hoped that her achievement and attainment would inspire young girls across Nigeria to thrive and reach new heights and for them to understand that as a woman you go become anything
“It is a huge honour for me in a country like Nigeria, where so many women have broken the glass ceiling to be honoured in this way. The greatest thing about women is their ability to be sensitive and emotional but at the same time, courageous and strong.
“There is an honour and prestige that comes with being a woman. It is a huge honour for me and I hope that all of us will stand as a representation so that all the little girls all over Nigeria will know that they too can thrive and break that glass ceiling”.
Musawa, who is a reputable awyer, politician, and prolific writer exemplifies dedication and excellence, added that the recognition is a testament to the power of women everywhere.
The Women of Impact Awards recognize 65 outstanding Nigerian women across Nigeria including Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who was applauded for her significant contributions to the World Trade Organization and Nigeria’s economic development, H. E. Amina Mohammed, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha and Obiageli Ezekwesili, the minister of Trade and Investment Ministry Jumoke Oduwole, Hadiza Bala Usman Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination/Head, Central Results Delivery and Coordination Unit (CRDCU), as well as Ojinika Okpe of Arise News
